Walkabout

Liam has been playing with the idea of walking for a couple weeks now.  It's been a fun little party trick that we do for cheap entertainment.  It has involved 1-2-4 steps into a Superman fall right into the person/thing he is aiming for.  Today, he up the anty.

Something has seemed to have clicked and he turned his "wow" factor.  This afternoon, when Wade and I went to pick him up, he stood right up when he saw us at the door and walked effortlessly drunk-like to us.  Wade and I stood dumbfounded, his teachers speechless and Liam had the proudest expression on his sweet little face.  Tonight, he repeated (and repeated, and repeated) his new moves.  Next step...The Moonwalk.

Watch out Amelia, he is out to run you down!

Feb Review

In January, my life got busy.  It will stay that way for the next year or so.  I have started back at school for a Behavioral Certification.  My week consists of reading scientific research, trying to compute what the vocabulary means ( I am not that smart) and writting.  If this past month is any indicator of what will happen to this blog...opps.

So, here is a half-ass post.  I am going to let pictures tell the words, so my children will have something to refer back to when looking at their life timeline. Hopefully one day it all pays off and I am rich and famous (mainly rich).

Over President's weekend we headed south to see my family.  We decided to go with the cousins to one of those trampoline places.  I LOVED it (I am slightly obsessed with trampolines).  However, I think I broke my toe.

10 months old and this is the first time on a swing.  Needless to say, he liked it.  Poor second child.

Party Pics!

This week we celebrated Amelia turning 3.  On Saturday we had her birthday party for family and close friends.  The theme...Purple, Pink Princess Party.  She and I started the planning a couple weeks prior and it was all she could talk about.  It turned out to be a success. 

I have a feeling three is going to be a good year.  We love you sweet girl.  You have made everyday even more special to so many people.

Some of the princess who enjoyed the party: Campbell, Lyla and Allie.  Don't forget Prince Liam.

Let the baby proofing begin!

Yesterday Liam turned 9 months.Writing this leaves me in shock. 9 months is a pregnancy time frame.  9 months is an academic school year.  9 months is longer then some celebrity marriages!   I have literally watch time fly as he turned from the infant I brought home in April to the little boy who always wears a smile on his face.

In his 9 months he has learned to crawl and climb onto EVERYTHING, even up stairs.  He puts EVERYTHING he comes across on his little adventures into his mouth.  He has started to walk around furniture and every once in a while, he will forget what he is doing and stand with no assistance. Liam LOVES his sister and thinks they are the same age.  He can wrestle with the best of them and has a bite to go with it.  He has discovered the joys of food, and this lazy mom feeds him most of the things we are eating.  Who needs baby food?  Not us.  He has started babbling Dada, Mama, Baba and will shake his head "no" if we ask for another word (Oh Lord, please don't let me have another highly strong willed child). Liam and Amelia have also started sharing a room.  It was an easier transition then I anticipated, and both have handled it well. He is the perfect 50% in head (18), weight (19) and height (28).

Best of all.....he is a total Mama's boy.

What do we do on snow days?

We make snow angels.  We sled.  We throw snowballs.

We go on walks.  We play with the dog.  We enjoy the beauty of it all.

But best of all...
We drink hot chocolate. We listen to Caspar Babypants Radio on Pandora. We PARTY HARD!
