Week Review

Yeah, after a 30 hours of travel, Wade has made it back to the states and is home. It is nice to be back in our house (with our stuff and air conditioning). It was great staying south and boy did Amelia and I stay busy. It is going to be an adjustment not having people around all the time or things to do everyday, but being back on our "schedule" will be good. Thank you Mom and Dad for spoiling us and being great hosts!!!

Now that I am back on our home computer I have been able to get pictures downloaded. Here is a small glimpse of what our travels included.
We had a play date with Carson and Becki. It was so cute, once they saw each other they grabbed hands, locked eyes, and smiled. Good friends!!
We met Abe. Tiffany and Jeff sure make cute babies. I am so excited to have another Coug baby to join our group. It is going to be so much fun!!
I got Amelia a tutu for her 6 month photo shoot. I couldn't help myself and had a practice session in my parent's living room. I love having a little girl I can dress up. She also was a ham for the camera. I can't wait to see the professional pictures!!

Megan and I took Lyla and Amelia to Gymboree in the mall for playtime. I think both loved it. Amelia was all smiles and squeals. I wish they had a gym up north.

We helped Anna celebrate baby #2. It was a perfect day at Golden Gardens for a BBQ. It was also so cool to be there with friends and kids. In the past 2 years the amount of kids has tripled. Amelia is going to have so many friends to grow with.

Jumping off buildings and a birthday!

Last night while enjoying a relaxing evening on the deck at Ray's Cafe with my dear friend Rask, Wade called to tell me he had made it to New Zealand from Thailand...oh, and he was going to jump off a building. I guess that is something you do there.
Wade before his plunge. I am really starting to wonder if he is really traveling for work, or is he just vacationing. I am sure his boss is thinking the same thing!!

I told him that I had to see it to believe it. So....he sent me a video!!!

On a much calmer note, HAPPY BIRTHDAY RASK!! I love you and I am happy we got to spend a romantic night out together to celebrate you turning the big 2-9. You did it with grace, honor and beauty!! I am blessed to have you in my life.

Puppy Love

Amelia and Tracker are really starting to develop a great relationship. She is starting to watch his every move, she smiles and laughs when he is close and she is starting to reach out and "pet" him. Tracker is also becoming a great big brother. At night he has moved from our bed to by her door, during floor time he joins us by sitting right in the middle and giving "kisses" is one of his favorite things (especially right after Amelia has been eating some food).

On a break from being a nomad, I am at home for a couple days and finally got my camera downloaded onto the computer. Here are some pictures from the days before Wade's departure...

Slumber Party!

Saturday, my mom and I watch Shelby and Macie so ReBecca and Kyle could have the day/night to celebrate their 11th wedding anniversary. We spent the day at Peter Kirk Park in Kirkland having a picnic, swimming, getting cupcakes and enjoying the weather with friends. That night the girls had a slumber party in the living room with movies and pizza (string beans for Milli).
Now that Shelby is 5 and going into Kindergarten, she is old enough to carry a baby. Please note that Amelia's head is almost as big as her's. This stroller was only designed for one, but got three.
I have a total waterbaby on my hands. She laughed and squealed the entire time in the pool.
All the cousins settling down for a movie, even the four legged ones.

Bon Voyage!!!

Amelia and I have become nomads as Wade travels for work. While he is on a three week trip, she and I will be making our home along I-5 from Bellingham to Seattle. It will be fun to see old friends and spend time with family. We came down to my parents after a relaxing forth in Bellingham.

Even though Wade is across the world, we have been able to keep in touch VERY well. Thanks to camera phones, Skype, and videos, Wade has been able to not miss any firsts (This week I bought the coolest baby food maker and made some peas. I taped her first bites and sent it to Wade. She LOVED them!) and Amelia and I get to see all the cool places he is visiting and his friends. For the next couple of weeks, the blog will also be hosting the pictures sent during these travels.

Here is Amelia eating her first bite of peas. I have decided to start with veggies (green, yellow, red) and then onto fruit. Wade and I both like our sugar, so I know once she eats something sweet there may be no turning back! My hope it to have her try a LARGE arrange of foods and tastes before she knows to say no!!

Races, shopping, picnics, parties...OH MY!

We were in town this weekend, but boy were we busy and on the go. We had a company picnic, Wade competed in the Lake Padden Triathlon, shopping at Tulalip with family, surprise 30th birthday party for Chris, and a family day at the park.

It all started Friday with Wade's company picnic. We went to a park in Ferndale for a BBQ and visiting. Amelia started out great, but then turned to Bedelia (alter ego). Her afternoon nap wasn't much and opened the door to this lovely child. Krause learned about the lungs she has!

The next morning Wade and Jake raced in the Lake Padden Tri. Both did great, but poor Wade had some major cramps during the run at the end and had to finish in some pain. Watching them race made me think about taking up the sport. I just need to learn how to ride a bike.
He swam a 1/2 mile. He and Daryl before he jumped into the water.
He biked 22 miles. Wade said this was his favorite portion of the race.
He ended the race with a 5 mile run. Two times around Lake Padden.

After the race, Amelia and I met my Mom, Sis, the girls and my Aunt Kathy at the outlet mall. Kathy was in town for the weekend from Newport Beach. It was her first time meeting Amelia. And...in true Kathy style, Amelia was spoiled with a whole new wardrobe for summer and fall and a pair of baby Uggs. Mimi (my mom) also bought her a cute outfit and new shoes because she is growing so fast. Thank you Mom and Kathy!!! I love It all!!

After shopping Amelia went and spent the evening with grandma and grandpa so Wade and I could go to Chris's 30th Birthday. Julie, you did a wonderful job planning and preparing. We ate, drank some and had fun with friends. Because we have been gone so much we haven't seen anyone in forever!

Lastly, we spent a lazy Sunday at the park with just Wade, me, Amelia and Tracker. We had a picnic, played in the water fountain and took a nap in the sun. It was so nice to relax!
Please notice that Wade and Amelia are wearing matching outfits. I did not buy these together or was it planned. The outfit Amelia is wearing is one Kathy got her. Wade's shorts are old. So CUTE!!
Wade and I saw The Hangover and thought it was great. Here is Amelia doing her best Carlos impression. Mommy and me shot. I am noticing I am the one taking the pictures so there isn't to many that I am in. So, I took one :).
