A friend of mine posted this on Facebook.  I had to share. It couldn't explain one of my biggest pet peeves any better.  I am not sure if it is because we live so close to the birthplace of Locker, but JH's seem to be everywhere up here.

It's a....

BABY! 

This week marks the half way point for Baby 2.  I cannot believe how fast it has gone by.  Yesterday we had an ultrasound and appointment and everything is right on track.  Baby is as big as a pop can and growing like a weed. He/She has Amelia's little nose.

Yes, we are that couple that opts out on finding out the gender.  We do this to drive our families crazy. Well, not really.  It is life's biggest surprise and makes the day even more exciting.  I can't say that it is easy.  Wade made sure to join me so I wouldn't cheat.  We are taking bets for the gender pool starting now.

Big sister boot camp has also started with Amelia.  She is already starting to give up things that keep her in the "hood", as in babyhood.

The crib has been turned into a toddle bed.  She has done really well with the transition.  Goes right to bed at night time and stays there until the morning.  For her birthday we plan to get her a big girl bed.  I am thinking bunk-beds.

Let the potty training begin!  She is actually the one who initiated this.  Amelia is very interested in the potty and loves to sit on it.  We are only using it at home and waiting to start at daycare once she turns 2.  However, she pees in it every time and almost pooped in it.  I mean almost because she got worried and pooped on the floor right next to the potty.  Oops.

Little miss independent. In the words of Amelia..."No, me do it!"  She is talking up a storm and repeats EVERY thing we say.  She has already repeated "s#!* and OMG. I think I was the one she copied.  Double oops.

I was going down memory lane looking at past post (mainly trying to see how much smaller I was with my last pregnancy than I am with this one).  I got to this time last year and was reminded about Amelia's Daycare Mugshot.  Last week, we got this year's...Ugh.

I think her becoming America's next top model is out!

The funniest part about this picture is that she looks like my brother at this age.

Being cheap never felt (or tasted) so good.

My newest obsession involves coupon sites like Groupon, Living Social or Kidsteals.  I wake up each morning excited to see what they have to offer.  It is probably good that most of them are based out of Seattle. Otherwise, I would make this family broke really fast.  But hey, at least we would look good, be fed well and really relaxed.

Now I don't claim to be a great cook, but I really enjoy it.  I love to read cookbooks, try new recipes and experiment in the kitchen. A couple months ago I purchased a coupon from Groupon for a cooking class for 2 for only $40. I was hook at it being a cooking class and sold on the price.  I immediately called Megan (god-sister) to reel her in because she loves this stuff just like me.  She is a great cook.

Last weekend we took the class.  AWESOME is the word I have to describe it.  So AWESOME I have to share and encourage, coupon or no coupon, anyone to find a time to take it.  It was based in Little Italy on Yesler in Seattle, at Al Boccalino.  Luigi hosted the 3 hours where we cooked, ate, drank (me lemonade, how I missed the wine!!), laughed and made new friends.  I am going to take this class again for sure.  

Trick or Treat

 Amelia caught on really fast to the whole "trick or treat" thing. She loved her costume and had to wear it for the whole week of Halloween.  When I would go ask her to get a coat in the morning, she always came back carrying it.  It is now put away (from eyes) waiting for next year.
