School

Amelia and I just finished our first week of school. She has a great teacher and seems to be enjoying it. There has been some adjustments with having to wear a uniform and eating (she ate a quail egg one day), but she is happy and has made some friends. Of course one of the favorites is the smallest Thai in the school who speaks no English.

My job seems like it is going to be the easiest by far. I am only servicing 8 kids in grades PreK, 1st, 2nd and 5th. Majority of them would not qualify for special education if we were in the states. They would be put into intervention classes but none with major needs. So far I have enjoyed working inclusion with the teachers and all of the kids.

Ruamrudee is a HUGE campus. It has a high school, middle school and elementary. It is like a mini city with stores, restaurants, 2 pools, a workout center and much more. One of the best things has been trying to pick where to eat for meals. It is also an English only campus, so I don't have to worry about my Thai (or lack of Thai).
